We believe that the two Biblical roles of leadership within the church are that of Elders and Deacons and Mt. Zion Community Church will strive to select, train, and fill these roles.  

 

Elders (a.k.a. pastors) are biblically qualified men who oversee the local church, particularly through leadership, teaching God's Word, praying, caring for church members, and training members to do the work of ministry. (Ephesians 4; 1 Timothy 3:2-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Peter 5:1-3)

Deacons are biblically qualified men who work to care for the church through acts of service. (1 Timothy 3:8-13; Acts 6:1-6)
